OUR MISSION
At Daniels Philanthropies, we are dedicated to providing cutting-edge technological innovations to reduce energy demand and mitigate heat stress and environmental change worldwide, specifically in areas with growing energy requirements due to rising temperatures. Heat-related illnesses are the most underdiagnosed conditions in the US and worldwide, while policies and solutions to address this public health threat are lacking.
Cooling by energy-intensive processes like air conditioning is not available to the majority of the populations affected by heat stress, and even where it is available, air conditioning often causes energy grids to fail. Energy demand is projected to grow 35% worldwide in the next 20 years, while sources of renewable energy are not matching that growth.
Our technologies address this problem with easily implementable, low-cost improvements to existing constructions, which can reduce energy consumption for a building up to 30%.
Daniels Philanthropies conducts original research to identify the areas of the world most afflicted by increasing temperatures, environmental change, and pollution. We also conduct research in environmental conservation, and support projects that provide health assistance to remote areas where populations have no access to health services. Through strategic partnerships with other charities, the Foundation's programs address these challenges and raise awareness of our innovative solutions worldwide.
